Located in the North East corner of Prince William County, Belmont Elementary School serves the communities of Belmont, Belmont Bay, a portion of the US Navy Housing facility, and other smaller communities along the Northern route US 1 corridor. Named after the community in which it resides, Belmont opened its doors to students in 1968. Belmont Elementary School is a relatively small elementary school compared to other Prince William County Schools. The school serves a diverse population as represented by its diverse attendance area. |
| SPECIAL PROGRAMS |

Belmont is a Math and Science Specialty school for fourth and fifth graders. In this program, the state/county objectives are taught with emphasis on mathematics and science. Students from the eastern half of Prince William County are eligible for this program. Interested parents can get more information, about this and other programs offered in the county, by going to the Math and Science Specialty web site. Belmont provides the facility for a before- and after-school child care service, SAC, operated by Prince William County through Minnieland, a day care provider.
