| ABOUT BELMONT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL |

Located in the North East corner of Prince William County, Belmont Elementary School serves the communities of Belmont, Belmont Bay, a portion of the US Navy Housing facility, and other smaller communities along the Northern route US 1 corridor. Named after the community in which it resides, Belmont opened its doors to students in 1968. Belmont Elementary School is a relatively small elementary school compared to other Prince William County Schools. The school serves a diverse population as represented by its diverse attendance area. |
| SPECIAL PROGRAMS |

Belmont is a Math and Science Specialty school for fourth and fifth graders. In this program, the state/county objectives are taught with emphasis on mathematics and science. Students from the eastern half of Prince William County are eligible for this program. Belmont provides the facility for a before- and after-school child care service, SAC, operated by Prince William County through Minnieland, a day care provider.
