Information night is January 22nd, 2009 at 6:30 pm.  Applications are due February 15th, 2009.

Prince William County offers the elementary Math and Science Specialty Program at Belmont Elementary School for eastern County and at Sudley Elementary School for western County.  The Program is intended to meet the needs of Fourth and Fifth Graders who are interested in Math and Science and demonstrate an ability to work independently.   Students will be involved in a program designed to be a hands-on and problem- solving extension of the current Prince William County curriculum.  Math and Science will be integrated with all subjects.

It is a full-time and on-site program.  Belmont Elementary School students are encouraged to participate in our program and are expected to complete the Program application.  The program is open for transfer students from outside of the Belmont Elementary School attendance area based on a completed application for the program and space availability.

The Math and Science Specialty Program application is available from the Belmont office or our website and can be printed for completion.

Transportation will be provided by the County on an "Express Service Plan" to successful applicants from outside of the Belmont attendance area.  Please note that this "Express Service Plan" is not door-to-door service but the bus will pick up students at either an elementary or middle school in the area.

We are excited to work with you and your student in the fall.   Please call our school should you have any questions.

Sincerely,
B. Outlaw
